JOB DESCRIPTION:
Long Island based established Marketing Agency seeks Social Media Pro to join their team in handling content creation, planning, community management, and reporting. Candidate will work on a variety of accounts.
The role will focus on:
Create, curate, post and publish content and promotional posts across all social media platforms for a variety of clients.
Understand client brand’s online community and demographic, to create engaging copy for campaigns, posts, and press releases.
Implement advertising programs on social media platforms
Build partnerships with brand advocates, celebrities, influencers, and other creatives to expand our client's digital community.
Facilitate conversations among people online and interact with others to answer any questions they may have and provide support.
Gather analytical data to track post and campaign performance, and report to the team
Assist in the sourcing, development and curation of inspiring visual content including video and photography.
Identify topics, trends and content opportunities in a timely manner to assist with the execution of key marketing campaigns.
Required skills:
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, Communications, PR, or similar
1-2 years of professional experience in Social Media preferred
Proficiency with Sprout Social (or similar social media tool) and social media channels
Proactively stay aware of social media’s best practices and standards
Excellent writing and communication skills
Self-motivated, social, and have a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.

Tax/ Accounting Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION:

David Korcz CPA is a small home based accounting firm headquartered in Islandia, NY. Established in 1989, we assist approximately 700 families with their tax compliance on an annual basis as well as approximately 100 small businesses. We are experiencing a period of sustained growth and this will be the first tax season where we will be hiring two interns to join our existing seasonal team to assist with the process.

The role will focus on:
Accounting intern(s) will:
Assist in the preparation of personal, business, payroll and sales tax returns and extensions
Assist in write-up work
Assist in Quickbooks data entry of client records to assist with the above

There will be some hours required during mid-December through mid-January as we prepare for busy season (10 hours/week)
Commencing February 1, 2020 until April 15, 2020 the positions will each require 15-20 hours per week. (evening and weekend hours are available to fit around class schedules)
There will be reduced hours needed after the filing deadline to assist with some extension returns (8-10 hours per week through the end of the school year)
There is the potential for some project work over the summer as well.

Required skills:
Minimum 12 credits of accounting classes including a personal income tax class. Corporate income tax class a plus, but will train the right candidate.
Minimum accounting GPA 2.8, Overall GPA 3.0
Quickbooks experience a plus
